Installation¶

This guide covers the various ways to access and install the Catalog application.

Web Application¶

The web application requires no installation. Simply navigate to your organization’s Catalog URL in a supported browser:

Google Chrome (recommended)
Mozilla Firefox
Microsoft Edge
Safari

Bookmarking¶

For quick access, bookmark the Catalog URL or add it to your browser’s home page.

Mobile Application¶

iOS¶

Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad
Search for “Federated Catalog”
Tap Get to download and install
Open the app and sign in with your credentials

Android¶

Open the Google Play Store
Search for “Federated Catalog”
Tap Install
Open the app and sign in with your credentials

Desktop Application¶

Windows¶

Download the installer from your organization’s software portal
Run the installer and follow the prompts
Launch Catalog from the Start Menu or desktop shortcut

macOS¶

Download the DMG file from your organization’s software portal
Open the DMG and drag Catalog to your Applications folder
Launch Catalog from the Applications folder or Dock

Linux¶

Download the AppImage or package for your distribution
Install using your distribution’s package manager or run the AppImage directly
Launch Catalog from your application menu

First-Time Setup¶

After installation:

Launch the application using your preferred method
Enter your credentials - use your Federated network credentials
Configure preferences - set your default location and display preferences
Start searching - use the search bar to find parts

Troubleshooting¶

If you encounter issues during installation or first login:

Verify your network connection
Ensure your credentials are correct
Contact your IT department for access issues
